Between the Thunderclouds

Despite the forecasts for a beautiful sunny summer afternoon, as the time approached for the beach session to photograph the adorable Lizzie Loo and Friends children's seaside themed clothing, thunderclouds swept across the sky.  Just as I was about to unload my equipment to set up, a downpour of rain drenched us and lightning sparked across the sky.  Debbie Frost, owner of Lizzie Loo, and I looked at each other in dismay.  Then, literally minutes before the shoot was to begin, the sky cleared and the sun came out.  We welcomed 10 beautiful children to model the batik printed dresses, t-shirts and sweatshirts.  We captured the feel of summer with a series of beach portraits, complete with starfish and shells.  Then, as if on cue, just as I packed the last pieces of equipment away, the dark clouds reappeared and the end of our Marblehead beach photo session was announced by a clap of thunder.
